Standard beaded ropes wear through quickly, sending plastic beads flying off like little missles...ultra ropes have surgical tubing on the bottom where the rope impacts the ground...This has 2 advantages...First, the tubing "absorbs" the impact with the ground on each rotation, ending the ground to bead abrasion that destroys beads...Second, the missed jumps that strike the head legs sting a little less...So, take some fear out of jumping with ropes that last 4 times as long.
